Q. How long until I can see my photos?

A. At Zen Life Photography we understand that you will be very keen to see the images from the session as soon as possible, that is why we endeavour to have your online image gallery up and running within 3 weeks of your session. You will then be able to view and order your photos using the password provided by us.

Q. How long do I have to order my photos?

A. From the time that your photos appear online, we ask that you place your order within three days. After the three day period, your online gallery will expire. Please note, that we will not print your photographs until full payment has been received. Full payment is required within one week of placing your order. Please allow 1 week for delivery after your order is placed and paid for.

Q. What should we wear?

A. If you can, try and avoid clothing with logos or patterns. These tend to attract attention away from faces. Also, if only one person is wearing bright colours, they tend to stand out more which is normally something we try to avoid. Similarly, white can be very stark, and again can make someone stand out if they are the only one wearing it. It is ok if all the participants are wearing white, especially if it is combined with non clashing colours. Closer to the date of your shoot we will email you a fact sheet with more details about what to wear etc.

Q. What should we bring?

A. If you wish, you can bring 2 or 3 changes of clothes. This will give you extra variety in your photographs. Also, as the session can go up to 2 hours, it may be wise to bring some snacks and drinks for the kids. Closer to the date of your shoot we will email you a fact sheet with more details about what to bring etc.

Q. What time of day is best to have our photographs taken?

A. Generally speaking, we try to avoid sessions in the middle of the day if it is to be outside. This is because the light is usually quite harsh and can result in quite stark images. We find that morning or afternoon is best. Of course this also depends on your children's schedule too!

For babies, try to book a time when you think that your baby will be content. As parents ourselves we realise that trying to organise anything around a child's routine is difficult (if not impossible), so rest assured that we are understanding and flexible, if a session needs to go over the 2 hour mark because of an unco-operative baby, no problem.

For toddlers, and older children try to book a time when your child is usually alert and happy (ie. not just before their usual naptime).
